Steve Martin, CPA, Ltd. has a wide variety of experience, as outline on the following pages. Experienced in all manners of forensic accounting, business valuation, economic damages and analysis, and consulting. Additionally, audits, reviews and compiled financial statements are prepared by the firm.

The principal, Steve Martin, is a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”), certified in forensic accounting by both the AICPA (“CFF”) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (“CFE”), and certified in business valuation by both the AICPA as Accredited in Business Valuation (“ABV”) and the National Association of Certified Valuation (NACVA) as a Certified Valuation Analyst (“CVA”).

Steve has performed forensic accounting assignment for government agencies, both federal and state, work closely with attorneys on both criminal and civil litigation, and been retained as an expert witness.

Steve was appointed by Governor Guinn to serve as the 19th Controller for the State of Nevada, to complete the term of the murdered State Controller, Kathy Augustine.

Steve has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from George Washington University and a Master’s degree in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University. Steve was an adjunct professor for the Accounting Department of the Community College of Southern Nevada teaching accounting, tax , investment, and personal finance courses.

Steve has had many business interest such as the CEO and owner of an international import company, worked  with an oil field services company, and numerous other companies. Steve was a Major in the U.S. Marine Corps.
